EVERTS Air Cargo has commenced DC-9 jet service,adding the plane to a fleet that includes DC-6,C-46 and Embraer-120 cargo and passenger aircraft.
President and CEO Robert Everts said deployment of the DC-9 is expected to boost efficiency and flexibility while allowing the company to expand operations outside Alaska.
Its primary hub is at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and its corporate and maintenance headquarters is in Fairbanks,reports the Daily News-Miner locally.
